Haring modular toolkit

Semester 5 - User Interface Design

As part of a semester project in the User Interface Design course, I designed an interactive installation for a fictional Keith Haring museum exhibition.

The concept was to create a device that allows visitors to playfully assemble their own Keith Haring–inspired artwork using a modular builder system with characteristic Haring elements.

I designed the user interface and visualized the concept as a clickable prototype.

To match Haring’s colorful joyful look and feel I designed this first draft of my modular kit idea in this cheerful arcade look. It also pairs well with 80s nostalgia, Haring’s time period.

Some Paper Wire Frames

With this modular builder, users can create their own Haring-inspired image by first selecting a background graphic, followed by a ground element, and finally a Haring figure.

Give the prototype a try

For the best experience I recommend trying it out on your Smartphone in landscape mode.
