Most of my digital illustrations start the old-fashioned way: with pen, paper, and paint. From there, I digitize the drawings and continue working on them on my computer. The finished pieces often turn into stickers, posters, or other cool print projects.
Take a look at some of my artworks :)
A badass grunge fairy with dyed black hair, a grim stare, and torn wings – this fairy has seen some serious stuff and is completely done with it all. I didn’t draw the tattoos on her body, but they suit her perfectly. I’d love to hang this illustration as a huge poster on my wall.
Robots and artificial intelligence already exist today. They help us think (which might be a slightly disturbing threat to humanity) and make processes easier. But will they one day help us feel? Craving love and affection? Don’t worry — the robot delivers warm, realistic hugs :0
A cactus with a shocked expression. How would you react if you woke up one morning and realized you were suddenly trapped in the body of a cactus? Like in Kafka’s Metamorphosis, but spikier. Die Verwandlung
A melt-dog. This peaceful creature is one of my many melt-beings. Especially in the summer months, it tends to start dripping. But don’t worry – it’s a total sweetheart!
This creature is called Jörg. Jörg used to be a divorced insurance salesman with a tiny two-room apartment and chronic back pain. One day, he decided to leave behind his frustrating human life and go live in the forest with the animals.
Honestly, Jörg would make a great sticker Jörg würde sich auch gut einigen um einen Sticker zu gestalten 🙂
This dinosaur-like being is named Joachim. He’s named after a teacher I had in school. All of my classmates were terrified of Joachim, and on a cold November day, I decided to turn that memory into a dinosaur illustration.
I might start drawing more former teachers in the future…
With this illustration, I experimented with using hatching for the shadows and darker areas. I’m still a bit unsure when it comes to hatching, but I like how it turned out.
This one’s dedicated to my suppressed bad thoughts – shout-out to you guys!
Another melt creature. This rat drips all over the place and can’t hold onto the few pieces of cheese it occasionally finds — they just slide right through its melting paws.
A tube TV on legs. I’m really happy with how this one turned out. I like the shading and the little details on the screen.
What show would you watch on this TV?
Some time ago, I designed this cool duck and felt the urge to turn it into a Warhol-style collage. The bold colors and sharp lines really pop in this format. I’d love to print this one as a big poster.
One seriously cool bunny!
This is one of my absolute favorite illustrations: the slick sunglasses, the laid-back hairstyle, the confident look.
I wish I were more like this bunny.
Afterward, I felt like turning the cool bunny into a retro video game character. That was during a time when I was super into pixel art.
That’s how this graphic came to be — and I’m really proud of how it turned out.
